JACKAROO

The Jackaroo takes its name from the Jackaroo aircraft, that was developed and built here in Thruxton. The aircraft started life as a Tiger Moth, but was adapted to seat 4 people and was fitted with a canopy for flight training.

Temporary Refreshments for Pilots

Due to unforeseen circumstances, on-site catering is currently unavailable. We’re working on a longer-term solution, but in the meantime we’ve set up free tea and coffee for all pilots.

The tea and coffee station is available from the Press Hut, located on the edge of the apron.

Please help yourself at any time during aerodrome opening hours.

We’ll provide further updates as soon as permanent catering arrangements are confirmed.

Thank you for your understanding and for your continued support of Thruxton Aerodrome.
